WHAT A SHOW! The IADD Odyssey USA

The IADD Odyssey is our industry’s premier show in the USA focused on innovation in both Die Cutting and Die Making.

C & T International is proud to have a strong subsidiary in the USA. CCM Die Supply is a tier 1 partner to many blue-chip companies within their market. The CCM team is considered the most experienced in the USA. Managing directors Bob Stoddard and Joe McDowell did a great job organizing the team with Abbey Stoddard and Cindy Nine making things happen!

Simon Shenton, the group CEO, was delighted by the turn out during the show and how professionally our international team greeted existing and new potential partners. “What a fantastic group of people we have to make what I consider one of the best teams in our industry! We have always had a very special bond with the US and this was very apparent during Odyssey.”

Mike Troha and Howard Mead presented a seminar entitled “How to improve your production uptime and safety by using technology”. It was the first time that CCM and C & T international took to the tech floor stage delivering new ideas. Their presentation included a new three-level chase loader, ideal from a health and safety perspective when removing the Resocell bed from the die cutter. This is a very current trend in today’s market to enable a reduction in spot-up (patch up) by keeping the surface clean.

During the show several new developments were launched-

1) Balance Sprint Pro – Used in place of traditional balancing rule, saves time, and is easy to apply! We would always advise leaving the last rule in the back edge!

2) Creasing Matrix
Countamax – a creasing matrix manufactured from Phenolic resin, it is the longest wearing creasing matrix on the market.
Corrugate  a special matrix developed for creasing corrugated board with an internal chamfer that reduces cracking one-liners.
Pink – a matrix that can be chamfered easily and is also great for folding carton work.
XTC – a film based creasing matrix that has a wide variety of uses with a range of special profiles.
New counter material – this is the most long-lasting all of the products and was mounted on our very own thin plate with its unique profiling that has a range of benefits for the operator

3) Speedpin – made an appearance with great interest! This is one simple component that can make a big difference to the stripping process. Inserted at the cad stage this durable stripping component will eradicate the need for bottom pins!
